Hello I'm Tony the owner of the Hideaway,
my wife Irene and I came to the Sunshine coast of Australia in 2001. We had been running a commercial interior refurbishment business in England since 1978 and decided it was time for a "Sea Change". We had been on holiday to the Sunshine Coast a couple of times as our son settled here following his marrage to an Australian girl. We fell in love with the area and the friendly Queensland people and decided to make it our new home. It took us almost a year to gut and refurbish, what is now known as the "Beerwah Hideaway". We opened our cafe 5 days a week and our restaurant on Fri & Sat evenings. The luxury B&B came on line the following year and has become very popular with many guests retuning again and again. The wedding side of the business has grown steadily, we love meeting all the couples and no two weddings are ever the same. We have had to close our cafe now as could no longer open consistently because of the the growing wedding demand. |
